Data Statement
Members agree that the information they have provided on joining may be used by The Probus Club of Galashiels & District (“the Club”) for purposes only in connection with the running of the Club, which include timely and efficient communication by post, telephone and email. They also agree that subsequent information relating to any posts held or events attended may be retained.
Any or all this may be provided to Committee members and other Club members by email or telephone when it is needed to facilitate the running of the Club, or to provide the benefits of membership but it will never be disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.
The data is stored on a PC in a protected spreadsheet.
Your data will be retained by the Club for a period of 1 year after resignation or retirement from the Club to facilitate any possible future renewed membership.
Members’ data can be removed from our stored records within 28 days of a written request to the Data Processor who is the Hon. Secretary for the Club identified below
You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you believe there is a problem with the Club’s handling of your data.
